I founded Run Stark with one goal, to help runners build the strength to run strong, prevent injuries, and to help them push past boundaries.
Curious about the name? "Stark" means "strong" in German, so Run Stark translates to "Run Strong." This name honours my German heritage and is inspired by the superhero Iron Man (Tony Stark) and the ultimate endurance challenge, the Ironman race.
I have competed in five of the seven major marathons worldwide, with only Tokyo and Sydney left on the list. I began my running journey in 2019, and it profoundly impacted my mental health and fitness. Through dedication, commitment, and consistency, I made small daily changes that led to rapid progress.
My First marathon time was 3:45 in 2020 and in September 2024, I be participated in the 50th Berlin Marathon, finishing with a 2:30:44 finish. To reach this goal, I had to shave 11 minutes off my personal best.
So, why did I set such an ambitious goal? My success is driven by the holistic approach I take in my training and proven strategies that encompass strength work, nutrition, flexibility, habit changes and more. These elements have kept me fitter, stronger, and injury free, enabling me to perform at my peak and they can do the same for you.
I have shared these principles with many runners, helping them achieve results they once thought impossible. Now, I’m here to share these strategies with you. Small, consistent changes that fit into your lifestyle will compound over time, leading to significant improvements. I'm Kerri, a UKA Qualified Run Leader with Hertford Running Club and part of the team at Run Stark. I'm passionate about making fitness accessible to everyone, and I believe that anyone interested in running, building strength, and developing healthy habits should have the chance to join a welcoming community.
All local members are encouraged to join Hertford Running Club, which offers free running sessions every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. These sessions provide a great opportunity for runners of all levels to put their Run Stark coaching into practice with the support of a dedicated community.
